From 2024, the artistic leadership of the Latvian Radio Choir will change. Since 1992, Sigvards Kļava has been the choir's artistic director and chief conductor, while Kaspars Putniņš has worked as the conductor of the Latvian Radio Choir for the whole of that time. With a single vision and a single mind, the choir has achieved the highest professional level, and worldwide recognition, and received a significant number of prestigious awards over more than 30 years. Kaspars Putniņš now takes up the post of Artistic Director and Principal Conductor, while Sigvards Kļava will continue to nurture his artistic ideas with the choir and conduct the Latvian Radio Choir in concerts in Latvia and abroad.
