B.H.A.D. Company

B.H.A.D. Company consists of pianist Elza Ozolina (Latvia), who’s also a composer and executive producer of the project, trumpeter Dan Hejslet (Denmark), saxophonist Tadas Pasaravičius (Lithuania), bass player Anders Boye Knudsen (Denmark), and drummer Yannick Ballmann (Belgium). The album features the Latvian singer Undīne Rolava and Denmark-born rapper Blacc El. The band has participated in the most prominent Danish jazz music festivals, such as «SPOT», «WayUpNorth», «Winter Jazz», and made some noise in the «Jazz Danmark» organized jazz contest «JazzKonkurencen 2020». In 2019 Elza Ozolina became the finalist of the «Riga Jazz Stage» contest in the piano category, where she was awarded a tour with the «Euroradio Jazz Orchestra». This opportunity gave her the chance to perform her own song titled «Nostalgia», which later was played at the BBC Radio 3 prestige radio show. In 2021 «Lick Attack» was nominated for the «Jazz or Funk Album of the Year» category at the annual Latvian music record award «Golden Microphone».
