klausies

«klausies» is spoken word poetry (in English, Latvian and Russian) and improvised music project, where Latvian poet Aleksandra Line musically meets Latvian composer and pianist Edgars Cīrulis and Danish composer and double-bassist Albert Reinholdt Østergaard to create stories together. In August of 2020, despite pandemics, the Ventspils concert hall «Latvia» hosted a «klausies» analog sound recording by «Jersika Records» during the live concert with the audience — this open recording session resulted in nine
compositions and an encore included in an LP called «9». These stories speak of each and all of us being just human — vulnerable and powerful, practical and dreamy, children at the core and reliable, versatile grown-up outside, trying to create a better world around instead of searching for one.
