Riga Project Choir

Based in the capital of Latvia, the Riga Project Choir comprises 60 highly experienced singers who were previously members of some of the country’s exceptional amateur and professional choirs. The choir’s mission is to introduce both singers and audience members to new and lesser-known choral repertoire. Since the choir’s founding in 2018, the Riga Project Choir has presented world premieres of works by eight composers, as well as the Latvian premieres of dozens of major choral works including Kile Smith’s The Arc in the Sky and Benedict Sheehan’s Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom. From 2020 to 2022, the Riga Project Choir was choir-in-residence at the National Library of Latvia. The Riga Project Choir is now in residence at the Jāzeps Mediņš Riga Music Secondary School.
