Anete Toča

Anete Toča has been a musician with the LNSO flute group since 2009 (piccolo and flute) and, as of 2006, she has been the concertmaster of the flute group of the Rīga Professional Symphonic Band.

​Toča enjoys playing chamber music with different musical groups, including NYX Trio and Quintus Anima. During the 2013–2014 season, she participated in the performances of the Danish brilliant Woodwind Quintet Carion. She is an experienced orchestra and solo musician and laureate of international competitions.

​Anete Toča is also involved in pedagogical work: as of 2012, she has been assistant principal of the Pāvuls Jurjāns Music School responsible for work with children with special needs, and as of 2013 she has headed the Wind Instrument Department of this school. Toča has also headed the Wood Wind Instrument Department of the Emīls Dārziņš Music School (2010–2013), taught at the Music and Art School of Salaspils and Valmiera Music School and worked as assistant concertmaster of the flute group of the Liepāja Symphony Orchestra.

​Anete Toča holds a masters degree from JVLMA (class of professor Vilnis Strautiņš). At the Emīls Dārziņš Music School, she studied with Silva Krašauska.
