Ieva Kerēvica

Ieva Kerēvica is a well-known Latvian jazz vocalist who has been active in various jazz genres: contemporary jazz, ethno jazz, world music, big band music, etc. Her voice and performance gained great color and virtuosity that can be noticed in her timbre, range, and her music in general. The artist has cooperated with many Latvian jazz instrumentalists, Latvian and foreign musicians, vocalists, and composers and participated in various music, art and crossover projects, musical, theater, television, and movie recording projects. She is also the author of vocal compositions and arranger of folk music. Graduated from Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music (JVLMA), specializing in jazz vocals. Music has been an essential part of the artist’s childhood while she learned violin and saxophone and actively participated in many music bands, including brass bands, big bands, and the Riga Circus Orchestra.
