Larisa Bulava

Larisa Bulava is a graduate of the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian State Conservatory (today the Latvian Academy of Music) piano department (1973, Prof. Igors Kalniņš) and organ department (1974). She studied organ with Prof. Nikolajs Vanadziņš and Prof. W. Schetelich (Leipzig, 1980/1981). Her present proficiency is a result of hard work, extensive concert experience in Latvia and abroad, festival participation, recording sessions on TV, radio and recording studios. Larisa Bulava is a professor of organ at the Latvian Academy of Music. Currently, she is also an organ teacher at the Daugavpils College of Music. Since 1992, she has been the organist of the Riga Cathedral.
