Miķelis Dzenuška is a vibraphonist and key boardist, who graduated from the Jazz department of Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music and works in such projects as «bfnl» and «KonBrio», as well as regularly joins other ensembles as a solo instrumentalist, arranger, and producer. In 2020 he received the prestigious Nick Gotham Award. Last summer Dzenuška released his debut album «Pritonā», which was also the diploma exam of the Academy of Music. The album was recorded in the musician’s bedroom using various electronic and acoustic instruments, including Casio children’s synthesizer made in the eighties. The album features both pop music elements and the musician’s virtuosity in jazz improvisation and composition.
