Sergejs Brinums

Works in the LNSO since 1974, the Principal Double Bass from 1992 till 2005. He learned the basics of double bass playing in E. Darzins Music School. After the service in the Soviet Army, he continued his studies in Jaz Medins Music High School. In 1969 S. Brinums entered the class Prof. M. Kurbatov in St. Peterburg’s Conservatory, graduated in 1974. S. Brinums shares his knowledge and experience with the young generation of musicians working as a teacher, initially in Jaz. Medins Music High School and currently in E. Darzins Music School. From 1976 he is a lecturer in J. Vitols Latvian Academy of Music.
