"Cimbalom"

Dedicated to Diāna Zandberga.
To imitate the characteristic sound of a Hungarian folk instrument – the cimbalom, this composition, in
conjunction with unconventional techniques used directly on the strings of the piano, employs Hungarian
scales, harmonies, and singularily characteristic melodic tunes.
