Framest

The vocal group Framest was founded in 2005 and currently consists of five professional singers. The group is known for its broad repertoire, which ranges from classic a cappella songs to contemporary jazz, pop and electronic music as well as original compositions.

Framest has worked and performed with many different partners, but most notable is its collaboration with Peter Eldridge, the artistic director of the world-famous group New York Voices. This collaboration resulted in two concert programmes.

In 2010 Framest was nominated for the Latvian Great Music Award in the category Best Debut and also received the audience award. In 2012 the group took part in the New Wave international contest of young performers of popular music. Two years later it won third prize at the A Cappella international festival for vocal music in Leipzig, Germany. Framest won a silver diploma in the classical category and a gold diploma in the jazz category at the Vokal Total international a cappella competition in Graz, Austria.

Frameset performs regularly throughout Latvia and has toured all over Europe and the world, including China, Taiwan, Japan and South Korea.
