Ilona Bagele

Graduated from the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music, class of Prof. Regīna Frīnberga (1999), continued with postgraduate studies and received MA degree (2003). Finalist of the Jāzeps Vītols International Vocal Competition (2000). She works as a vocal teacher at the Daugavpils Pedagogical University and Daugavpils Music College. Vocal teacher and musical director of the Daugavpils Drama Theatre. She has extensive experience as a pop music and jazz singer. Ilona Bagele made her debut at the Latvian National Opera with the role of Tamara’s nurse in Rubinstein’s opera The Demon (2003).
