January 2020 marks 100 years since establishment of Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music - alma mater of many of the world-renown Latvian composers and musicians. JVLMA marks the centenary with several concerts, ecumenical service at the Riga Cathedral and alumni reunion events. Especially notable is the publication of “Stories in Sounds: 100 years of the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music” - a book celebrating JVLMA's many achievements in it's first century.
