Latvian National Symphony Orchestra invites to its annual “Vasarnīca” festival

The family-friendly classical music festival started in 2015 in Cēsis. This year’s summer residence of Latvia’s largest symphony orchestra however will be held at the brand new “Latvija” concert hall in the coastal city of Ventspils.
The main events of the festival will be the open-air concert featuring LNSO’s brass band performing hits by Gershwin and Elington, two performances of the largest Latvian symphony orchestra performing works by American composers Glass and Muhly, and the festival’s closing concert which promises to be a genuine treat to the lovers of cinema music by Georgian composer Giya Kancheli. The families also will enjoy special events and performances throughout the weekend.
