The national recording company SKANi today releases the Latvian Radio Choir's album "Angele Dei," conducted by Kaspars Putniņš and Sigvards Kļava.
This marks the third album of new Latvian choral music by the Latvian Radio Choir released through SKANi. The program was designed to capture the musical trends and essence of 2023, serving as a time marker and cultural imprint. Rather than being a comprehensive selection of all creations, it stands as a testament to the ongoing collaboration between the Latvian Radio Choir and composers, reflecting a significant part of Latvia's musical landscape. The novelty of this repertoire is something to be highlighted among contemporary choral music enthusiasts and professionals.
The recording features choral works by Pēteris Vasks, Krists Auznieks, Ruta Paidere, Andris Dzenītis, Santa Ratniece, and Mārtiņš Viļums.
As of August 30, the album is available physically in 80 countries worldwide, and can also be downloaded and streamed on all major music platforms.
