Ogas

Ogas is a Latvian ethno-music group that combines the richness of traditional folk music with a modern sound. The group consists of talented musicians who play a variety of acoustic instruments, including the kokle, violin, mandolin, wooden flutes, accordion, bagpipes and Jew’s harp. In their programmes, Ogas play traditional folk songs and popular songs of the early 20th century as well as original music based on folk lyrics. The rhythms of the bass and percussion instruments complement the group’s sound, creating a lively music. “Ogas” have released 2 studio albums: “Laikarati” (2023) and “OK, Laime” (2024).
